With the tax season upon us, it is more important than ever to be informed about tax fraud. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) wants taxpayers and tax professionals to be aware of how to safely file taxes, how to avoid being scammed, and how to know if you’ve become a victim of fraud. Members of Cyprus Credit Union are no exception.

“Thousands of people have lost millions of dollars and their personal information to tax scams,” says the IRS website. “Scammers use the regular mail, telephone, or email to set up individuals, businesses, payroll and tax professionals.”
